About the Artist In Brief—
My name is Olivia Snyder, and I make things. I figured out I was pretty good at drawing when I was twelve, so I continued on with what worked. So, now, I am twenty-five and things appear to still be working. I have a Bachelor's degree in printmaking working with vile chemicals and delicious-smelling inks, not to mention I am pretty handy with a power drill and some drywall screws.
I graduated from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Printmaking. (Incidentally, I also have my Texas Teaching Certificate in Art.) I efficiently chop up pieces of wood then screw 'em back together alone in the garage, then cover with paint. Repeat if necessary.
Currently, I am running a hobby business called Patchwork Faces ; whenever I can, I also volunteer at The National Multiple Sclerosis Society's Lone Star Chapter, and docent at the DeGolyer House at the Dallas Arboretum.
In January of 2006, I married the love of my life, Michael Snyder! If you were looking for Olivia Thompson, that's who I used to be. Wherrza wedding photos? Ok fine, click here to see one. But that's all you get!
