Copyright Notice —
The Short Version for Those Who Hate To Read
Everything on this site is copyright 2006 Olivia Snyder.
1) You may not in any way shape or form copy images/text on this site. This means physical print-outs, hotlinking, copying to your own computer, etc.
2) You DEFINATELY may not copy an image, alter it, and pass it off as your own. Besides, I have massive amounts of physical proof that material on this site mine. So there.
3) In short, do not take any of the images located on the domain: http://pinkfrog.net. This is my living. I am not a huge corporation who can turn a blind eye if someone makes a fan page or takes an image under the guise of "fair use." When someone takes work, it's personal, not to mention damaging to my career.
Ignorance and the Internet
Notices such as "no infringements on these copyrights is intended" are the product of ignorance. Consider: "I didn't intend to kill that man!" Oops, sorry, but you did. Same goes for taking images: You might not intend to infringe on the copyright, but you did. Grant you, I used to steal images to make sites when I was first learning how to make web sites. However I realized that I can make everything from scratch! Why steal images from some schlump when you can create something all-original and all your own? If you feel that your creativity doesn't warrant the do-it-yourself method of website images, chances are you shouldn't really be designing a site. What is the point of simply copying, modifying, and re-distributing something that someone else worked hard to create? And more importantly, how would you feel if someone stole work from you and did the same thing? Don't lie, you'd be ticked.
Fair Use
"Fair use" is a sticky situation, I realize. Consider the following guidelines: 1) Limited reproduction or use and 2) A vested public interest in the advancement of the topic, particularly in an educational arena. By nature the Internet lends itself to massive reproduction, however; massive reproduction appears to jump way beyond the idea of "fair use."
Hotlinking Update
Update on the matter: I actually had a problem with people hotlinking to pictures from old sites I had up. Hotlinking, for those who don't know, is when a person makes an image that is located on your server appear on their website. This is not only blatant stealing of the image, but it steals bandwidth! When a person hotlinks, my image appears every single time their page is accessed, thereby stealing more money I don't have. The real kicker? It was mostly teenage girls posting a photo of some tampons I took way back when in college.

Credit Where It's Due: |
DreamHost - My supah-cool website host. They explain complicated things in simple terms even an artist like me can understand! Hooray for DreamHost!
Silk Icons - Those are those cute little icons I use all over the site. They're available under a Creative Commons license. Check 'em out!
JavaScriptKit - Most of the minor scripts and whatnot you see (or don't see) are courtesy these guys. I couldn't actually script something if my life depended on it. :(
DynamicDrive - Again, I don't know how to write cool codes that make pictures pop up. Some of the other invisible helpers come from DD.
